Container images
Run an image you built yourself.
If you already build images, for example in your CI, an app can use an image as its source instead of a repository. Teral runs the image as it is and doesn't build anything.
Create an image app
Create an app and choose Use a container image as the source. Enter the image reference with a tag or a digest:
ghcr.io/acme/api:v1.4.0
ghcr.io/acme/api@sha256:3f1c…The image must be public: Teral can't pull from private registries yet. Teral resolves a tag to a digest when it deploys, so a deployment keeps running the exact image it started with, even if the tag moves later.
Deploy a new version
- Dashboard: select Create Deployment on the app's page and paste the new reference, or pick an image you deployed before.
- Default image: Settings → Source & build → Image sets the reference new deployments use. Changing it doesn't touch the running deployment.
- API: call
deployments.createDeploymentfrom your pipeline after you push the image.
The image needs to listen on the port in the app's settings. Teral passes the port as PORT, and stops instances with SIGTERM. See Builds for the full list.
The teral command line tool isn't available yet. Until it is, use the API from CI.
